Artist's
Statement
“I
continue exploring oil painting and black and white photography
and the relationship between them. Teaching with many mediums
prompts experimentation. My current work includes painting on
found wood along with a traditional “en plein air”
approach to oil painting and a “zone system” discipline
to wet darkroom photography. I am transitioning to full time artist
over the next few years. My subjects tend to be from Princeton
where we have lived since 1976, New London CT where my family
roots are, and Nantucket MA where we vacation for a week or two
each summer.”
